What does Mobjak mean? Not surprisingly, we get that question quite a bit. Our company and our products are inspired by America and our name is no different. The name Mobjak comes from the USS Mobjack which was a United States Navy motor torpedo tender. The World War II era boat was named for the Mobjack Bay which is a body of water on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia and lies between the Rapphannock River on the north and York River on the south. Mobjack Bay is a favorite spot for the many people who boat the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding areas.
